Nuori pyöveli kulkee isänsä jalanjäljissä, mutta joutuu ristituleen isänsä murhaajien kanssa. Pyövelin luoti osuu yhteen murhaajaan ja mies kuolee. Pyöveli pidätetään itse teossa murhasta ja hän joutuu paikallisen tuomarin eteen. Nuoren miehen kohtalosta päättää nyt toinen pyöveli.
