세계를 떠돌아다니며 토속 디자인을 연구하는 문신 예술가 제이크는 싱가폴에서 열린 문신 엑스포에서 사모아섬의 전통 문신을 발견한다. 하지만 사소한 그의 실수로 문신에 깃든 악령이 해방된다. 애인 시나를 구하고 자신의 영혼을 다시 찾기 위해 제이크는 오랫동안 숨겨진 비극을 파헤친다.
